Children who are NOT traveling with their parents
A passport or valid ID card from the country of origin.
One original of a Birth Certificate or a document that vouches for the child’s parentage, plus three simple photocopies.
A Death Certificate, if both parents are dead, plus three simple photocopies.
An original authorization from both parents in accordance with whatever legislation is in force from the country of origin, giving consent to the child leaving his or her country, plus three simple copies.
A foreign child, entering the country as a tourist, with authorization (notarial, consular or judicial) from his or her father, mother, guardian or the appropriate authority, is legally and fully understood as being able to leave national territory by virtue of that same authorization.

Authorizations
In order for authorizations issued abroad to be valid in Chile, they must be duly legalized by the authorities mentioned below:

Appropriate local authority
Chilean consulate
Department of Legalizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (may be carried out by any person producing the documents)
If the document is granted in a language other than Spanish, it must be accompanied by an official translation.

In the case of Argentina, the agreement that eliminates the consular legalization of permits for children to travel will be abided by.
